Hakim Muhammad Rashid, Ph.D.
Professor of Education and Human Development, Howard University, Washington, D.C.
A former Visiting Professor at Khartoum University, Sudan, he was a Fulbright Scholar at King Saud University in Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Rashid has lectured in Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Bermuda, Canada, and the United States. He was also a Fulbright-Hays Summer Fellow in China. He is an Advisory Board Member for America’s Islamic Heritage Museum.

Qadir Abdus-Sabur, Ph.D.
Qadir Abdus-Sabur has been actively involved in the Islamic Schools movement in the United States for the past thirty years and served as Principal of Clara Muhammad School in Richmond, Virginia. He was Director of Clara Muhammad Boarding School in Randolph, Virginia; Chairman of the Council of Islamic Schools in North America (CISNA); member of the American Society of Muslims (ASM) Board of Education; and Director of Islamic Studies Curriculum Project, International Curricula Organization in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Concurrent with a twenty-five-year career as a Computer Systems Engineer, he taught mathematics and computer programming at local colleges. He then completed his Ph.D. from the University of Virginia and further dedicated himself to excellence in education.
Working cooperatively with parents and community members, Dr. Abdus-Sabur co-founded Richmond Virginia’s newest secondary education institution, Tawheed Prep School. He served as its first principal for five years leading the school to a successful SACS-Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Accreditation in its sixth year.
Imam Earl El-Amin
Scholar – Sociology and Interfaith Relations
Imam Earl S. El-Amin was raised and educated in the Baltimore Metropolitan area and is a graduate of Morgan State University and Sojourner Douglass College.
For over 30 years he served in various capacities of leadership in the Muslim community and the community at large; conducting workshops, forums and training for educators, theologians, social workers and human service practitioners in the United States and abroad .
Imam El-Amin was a member of several distinguished delegations that accompanied Imam W. Deen Mohammed abroad to represent Muslim America interests including the Vatican and Saudi Arabia. He participated in the first historic dialogue between Imams and Rabbis in North America.
His objectives for the Muslim community includes the establishment of model neighborhoods, improving the overall image of Al-Islam, interfaith initiatives and the development of Muslims in business, education, politics and culture.
He currently serves as Vice President – Program Development at the National Centers on Institutions and Alternatives which is a human services organization comprised of over 600 employees.
Imam El-Amin has made numerous guest television and radio appearances on C-SPAN “The Bottom Line,” “To the Point,” “Newsnight,” “Interfaith Roundtable,” “Xchange,” “Marc Steiner Show,” and many more. He also served as panelist with Dr. William “Bill” Cosby throughout the United States. He is a recipient of the Delta Sigma Theta Community Service Award, the NAACP Thurgood Marshall Award, and the Central Maryland Ecumenical Interfaith Leadership Award. He was recently appointed to the Johns Hopkins Hospital Ethics Committee.
